After a week immersed in the wetlands of Camargue, near Arles, France, I created this soundscape for an installation to celebrate the anniversary of LUMA foundation. The atmospheric piece will continuously loop during the 5 days of the art festival, providing visitors with an insight into the life cycles of the sansouïre wetlands. Different microphones and stereo setups used to explore the chronobiology of a Camargue soundscape. Many thanks to Phonurgia Nova for organising, again, a riveting workshop with audio naturalist and ornithologist Bernard Fort (also known as the hermit thrush).

“Bruits blancs, bruits roses sur le sol salé de la sansouïre.”
